The Labor Department reported today that another 4.4 million Americans lost their jobs last week. The total number of unemployed in this country is now an astonishing (and sickening) 26 million. That's 16% of the U.S. labor force!

Roughly one in six Americans have lost their job in the past five weeks. At the peak of the 2008 financial crisis, unemployment wasn't higher than 10%!

According to FOX Business, today's new unemployment number wipes out "the entirety of the 22.78 million labor market gains since the Great Recession more than a decade ago. ... The previous one-week high for jobless claims was 695,800 in 1982."

Again, AMERICA HAS LOST 26 MILLION JOBS IN FIVE WEEKS! Isn't it time to end the draconian lockdowns, shutdowns and quarantines imposed by federal, state and local governments? Shouldn't today's horrific economic news call for reopening America as soon as possible?
