Outrageous video surfaced this week of Democrat presidential candidate and former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg apparently attacking the intellect of hardworking farmers. The 2016 comments from the big-city billionaire included:
I could teach anybody, even people in this room, no offense intended, to be a farmer. It's a process. You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn. You could learn that. ...
Now comes the information economy and the information economy is fundamentally different because it's built around replacing people with technology. ... You have to have a different skill set, you have to have a lot more gray matter.
Bloomberg's tone-deaf "take" on farmers hasn't gone over well with millions of Americans who understand the sacrifices made by the men, women and families who grow the food we eat. Farmers and ranchers in this great nation feed the entire world.Read more
The U.S. Senate is expected to vote on two crucial pro-life bills next week. The first would protect babies born alive after a botched abortion. Appallingly, Democrats defeated this same anti-infanticide legislation last year. Sponsored by Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) the bill has nothing to do with preventing or outlawing abortion. It simply calls for doctors to render aid to newborns who survive abortion procedures.
Of course, pro-abortion Democrats are railing against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (S. 311), claiming it will infringe on a woman's "right" to terminate her pregnancy whenever she wants. But, in fact, the law is intended to punish medical personnel who withhold medical treatment and let an abortion survivor die.
Shouldn't Americans of every political affiliation be against letting helpless babies die? Have radical leftists gone so far down evil's path that they're O.K. with infanticide?
On Rush Limbaugh's radio show last week, a caller offered to donate a lung to the conservative radio icon. Rush, who's battling "advanced" lung cancer, was so shocked by the gesture that he could barely speak.
"You all just continue to stop me dead in my tracks," Rush said with his voice breaking. "Everything that's happened to me is a blessing. I hear things like that, and I don't know what to do with it."

Just four days after announcing to his 20 million listeners that he had lung cancer, Rush Limbaugh was back on the air. On Friday, February 7, he shared details of his phone call from President Trump three days earlier, inviting him to the State of the Union Address.
Rush admitted that he held off on having a "serious medical procedure" so he could travel to Washington, D.C. to attend. He said the President promised him, "You don't want to miss this. It's gonna be great." Then Mr. Trump surprised Rush by having the First Lady present him with the Medal of Freedom during the speech.
In addition to sharing the State of the Union backstory, Rush also explained to his listeners: "It's late stage. It's advanced lung cancer. But there's good news associated with the diagnosis and the treatment." While the conservative talk-radio icon didn't offer additional details, he did express confidence in his team of "great doctors" who have "already discovered some interesting things that should facilitate treatment."Read more
The big political news yesterday came out of the northeast, where New Hampshire held its presidential primaries. The Democrat results were what pundits expected -- a narrow victory by "democratic socialist" Sen. Bernie Sanders from nearby Vermont.
But anti-Trump cable network MSNBC got much more than they bargained for in their coverage. They conducted a man-on-the-street interview in the"Live Free or Die" state that, likely, shocked them BIG time. The MSNBC reporter asked a bystander who he voted for.
