Grassfire staff received an important update yesterday afternoon about Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D-NY) upcoming abortion vote. The office of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) offered some strong words regarding Democrat efforts to protect Roe v. Wade next week: 

"Unhinged Democrats, in an overwrought reaction to what Chief Justice John Roberts described as an 'absolutely appalling' leak of a draft [Supreme Court case] opinion, intend to again vote on S.4132, the alleged Women's Health Protection Act. The doomed-to-fail procedural vote on this barbaric bill is likely to occur next Wednesday, May 11" (emphasis theirs).

Unhinged. Doomed-to-fail. Barbaric. That's pretty tough talk coming from representatives of the #1 Republican in the Senate. Let's hope the rest of the GOP agrees, stands strong and stays united against efforts to "codify" Roe v. Wade four days from now.

The most divisive "Commander-in-Chief" in American history is continuing his hateful rhetoric against anyone and everyone who supports President Trump. Yesterday, while ridiculously accusing states of wanting to pass laws that say "children who are LGBTQ can't be in classrooms with other children," Joe Biden attacked tens of millions of "America First" patriots by saying:

"This MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that has existed in American history."

"Most extreme"? Republicans aren't calling for legalizing abortion up to and shortly after birth. Conservatives aren't fighting to give children puberty blockers and gender-reassignment surgery. Yes, a "Make America Great Again" protest at the Capitol on January 6 did get out of hand. But Trump supporters didn't destroy lives and livelihoods in violent, months-long riots across the country.
