Biden vs. Trump: Who won the debate? (poll)

UPDATE: Here are the preliminary poll results as of 12:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 30:

Trump: 2,823 votes (91%)
Biden: 281 votes (9%)

The first debate of the 2020 presidential campaign is in the books. Much is being said (negatively) about "moderator" Chris Wallace's performance. Many people think the FOX News anchor was so one sided that President Trump actually debated two people in Cleveland last night.

Vice President Joe Biden managed to do what few thought he could. The former vice president and senator went toe to toe with the Commander-in-Chief, while practicing social distancing, for more than 90 minutes. But did he win? Or was the President victorious?

Please let us know what you think in Grassfire's "First Debate QuickPoll." If you believe that President Donald Trump won the first presidential debate, click here or on his photo below. If, to you, Vice President Joe Biden is the victor, click here or on his photo below.

Pres. Trump needs to stop letting his ego get in the way. Show some dignity, prove you are superior by not getting angry when verbally poked at!

Do we want a President that makes the country survive are one that has multiple junior presidents whispering in his ear because he only knows “I don’t know”.

Trump has done great things in his +3 years of service. He fullfils his promises, without changing his promise, even while being attacked by the dishonest Demoncratic SWAMP. Next debate: Dwell on what he has done to better all lives in America, how he has brought peace to the middle east, and what he will do in the next 4 years. Abide by rules of engagement, AND demand that Biden doesn’t have help via ear piece/wire communiction to help him answer questions.

Trump vs. Biden….No one won. I am most interested in climate issues. Who cares most? Don’t drill in our parks.

It was an awful debate and nobody won. I already knew I would vote for Trump because he stands for what I stand for, but the debate was so stressful, I almost quit watching it, after being so excited about it. Biden lied constantly and Trump interrupted to challenge him. Next time they debate, they need to promise a chance to rebuff and give that chance. It really wasn’t worth watching last night.

I don’t think it changed anyone’s mind. Trump is Trump, what you see is what you get. He isn’t mamby pamby and Biden is a politician who appealed to the voters. Trump didn’t appeal to the voters but tried to expose the Left and Joe’s compliance to the Left. I don’t think Dems changed their minds for Trump with this debate since Biden “seemed” more reasonable yet he was combative, too. This election should be wild due to the Dems alliance with BLM, Antifa, and all the Climate Change Globalists that are trying to defeat Trump. Praying for Trump, our fighter for freedom, faith, family, small business, nationalism, etc..

Last night’s debate was a sad, demeaning display of two men, one of whom will be our next president, who refused to answer simple questions clearly without interruption. Three people, all talking over each other, trying to make their point was a display of ignorance and lack of respect. Wallace was unable to control either Trump or Biden. May I share an idea? Schedule each candidate for a Q&A session alone, separately, on two different times perhaps two separate evenings. Ask each candidate exactly the same questions. Time their answers to two minutes. Each session 45 minutes. Then broadcast these Q&A sessions on the same evening broadcast. Neither candidate will allowed to review the results until the same time America sees it. Perhaps a follow-up for rebuttal, again separately. When two grown men get in a fight separate them. I did that as a high school principal when breaking up fights.
No one won but Wallace lost

James, Thank you for your important reflection on what we all witnessed. We are hungry for truth. And then the importance of knowledge. It really “shines” on the reflections here. Here is another refection:
“Beware of false knowledge: It is more dangerous than ignorance.” My interpretation of that quote: It is to say that knowledge you think is TRUTH will give you a FALSE BELIEF, A FALSE HOPE, AND A FALSE CONFIDENCE. Knowledge is important because it gives ALL who seek it (knowledge/truth) the “armor” needed to make the best choice(s) in life and every situation. Sometimes that situation is a matter of life and death!!!! Life OR death of a NATION? Our country:? THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA To finish this, it is important to say; PRAY,THINK,and then VOTE. PRAY FOR AMERICA ! Dear LORD, I bow my head and ask if it be your will, Please save this land from those who seek to destroy it. AMEN

I left the tv on ,thru it all,but the whole thing was a total disgrace on 3 of them. I got nothing from their yelling at each other. I hope they are both more considerate of each others opinions, in the next debate. I can’t see that either one was a winner.

Neither. But we can thank Wallace’s lousy moderation. Like he was adding to the flames. And just found out Wallace is a registered democrat. He never sat well with me and he is definitely not like his father.

Mr. President, I voted for you the first time and will vote for you again. I was praying so hard for you last night. I so wish you had been calmer and not interrupt either Biden or the moderator. Please sir, please continue to surround yourself with, and listen to your advisors regarding your demeanor and presentation. You have indeed accomplished so much. I, as an evangelical Christian, thank you for fighting for what I believe to be “God endorsed values”. One of my favorite bible verses is Micah 6:8. Your actions as President these last 3 and a half years are fantastic and wonderful. I will continue to pray for you that God will work through you to help you show mercy and walk humbly (NIV version). I believe Biden has lied, and is a pawn for the radical left. Mr. President you say “May God bless America”. Please Mr. President, allow God to bless you. You have fought for greatness! You are leading us to great things and great accomplishments! As I have read from Dr. David Jeremiah in his NKJV Study Bible (p.1288), “Meekness is not weakness, but power under control”. Please let God show you the same power and wisdom in your next debate that He has shown you in your leading of America.

    Thank you Mr. President!!

    Dr. T.

YES I agree with Richard Pacente reference to Gerald Schilling. Exactly right. Some people who tend to be prideful in spirit are sometimes successful because of THAT spirit. That is as it pertains to their “personal life”. But as a leader; that is another thing. As we have seen, a prideful person doesn’t like it when told they are wrong. They usually are always on the defnesive. A good comparison to this point: General George S. Patton.

Well I think Gerald Schilling said it best and perfectly, but all these posts are how I think we all feel…and if Biden wins we can look to Trump and his handlers not correcting this fast…If anything he lost the middle and Suburban women…or is starting to…and he couldn’t denounce white supremacy…wow Donald… not smart…sad, very sad… if only we little people could talk to him like this…I dont think his kids or handlers dare tell him he blew it…and thats how I see it as I prepare for the Liberals to take the country over and destroy us…

Over all it was disappointing. The President won on some points. But as usual he was being Trump. As voters we should be tuned in more on what is done over what is said. The biggest loser (s) was Biden AND Wallace. He DID NOT DO HIS JOB AS MODERATOR. Biden appeared as the “Sock puppet” of the century. He was repeating memorized points given to him by “those” who are really going to be the leaders of OUR country. Anyone who DOES NOT answer a question specifically is really a liar no matter who it is. Wouldn’t ya know it? That is what politicians do. They don’t answer because they have secretive motives they intend to put into action AFTER they “might” actually be elected. That is when it is too late for US; For anybody. Soooo. Actions speak louder than words. Based on ACTION, does that person really love the country? Do they really care for the people? ( That IS what a country is: PEOPLE) One thing to finish; No one is perfect. Each person is voting on a “LIST” OF issues based on that person’s VALUES not necessarily the “personality”. How many of THOSE values are being honored? God save our country!!!

Everyone lost – mostly the Nation lost. No-one in their right mind could conclude who or which party should lead this nation based on that disgusting display. Two 70 year old men acting like children in a playground fight. No decorum, no respect for themselves or each other or the moderator or the audience.

Who won the debate? Nobody including the American voting public. This debate was a shameless debacle broadcast to the entire world! Our once revered nation worldwide now is the laughing stock of the world. POTUS, you are a great tactician and a remarkably effective President. I totally support your re-election. But I do not understand why you thought you needed to act like a bully that everybody thinks you are on national television? Your better than that. I was totally disappointed in your performance. You should have been prepared to out debate Mr Biden easily. He is no match for you. Do not focus on the Biden kids. Its out. Its done and over with. Focus please on showing the world your decisiveness and leadership and point out the weaknesses of the Democratic platform. That’s all you have to do to grab the undecided voters. I am afraid your performance last night did nothing but chase them away. Please be better prepared for the next debate. I am an avid supporter but was totally disappointed last night.

That debate was very sad. I am a big Trump fan. But he did not acquire any new voters in that debate in my opinion. If he would have stuck to his time as agreed and answered the questions as asked he could have won very easily. With just the facts. I actually wish that the moderator would have the control to push a button and turn off the mikes and black out the person that is speaking out of turn. I don’t think they would continue to speak out of turn if that was the case. I hope in the next debate it will be very different.

Trump needed to stop interrupting even if Biden was doing the same. Voters need to hear each candidate’s comments. I got nothing out of it, just a cacophony of noise. I finally tuned OUT and turned off. my TV.. I also think Trump has done an admirable job this term. I want him to give thoughtful POTUS answers and to let Biden sink himself.

I dont think either Pres Trump or Biden won. It was an uncontrolled shouting match that Pres Trump could have been more prepared for. Biden was not intelligent or presidential at all.

    To POTUS

    Pride comes before the fall.

Hate to pile on but it was obvious you didn’t prepare for this debate. You had a golden opportunity to talk directly to liberals who never listen to anything you say. Your two-minute introductions were chaotic and disjointed and you could have done so much more to further your and our causes.
What’s done is done. You’re a brilliant man, a great tactician, a superb organizer and remarkably effective President, manager and supervisor.
Your passion for our country and its greatness (born out of our unique creation and constitution) by people who were willing to give their all is evident, but needs calm, methodical, pre-prepared enunciation to people less intelligent than you.
I and many of your supporters love your policies and programs which if completed will save our country and return it to greatness. You have done so much, for so many and can do so much more if only you get re-elected.
Please, for our sake and that of our country, prepare for the next debate. I and everyone else knows you are the alpha male. Let the opposition make their absurd proposals and claims then counter appropriately.
Best of luck and thank you for all you do to make OUR country great again.

    Respectfully Yours
    Gerard H. Schilling
