Israel President Isaac Herzog will address Congress at 11:00 a.m. ET today. He's in Washington, D.C. to mark the 75th anniversary of the Jewish state and to thank the American people for supporting Israel since it was officially recognized as a nation in 1948.
A sense of growing anti-Semitism from "progressive" Democrats in the House led House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to take bold action yesterday. He called for a floor vote on H. Con. Res. 57: "Expressing the sense of Congress supporting the State of Israel" that forced Representatives to declare where they stand on America's greatest Middle East ally.
Tuesday's House vote showed overwhelming support for Israel with 412 Reps supporting the resolution and only nine opposing it. That result should be no surprise since the United States was the first nation to recognize the Jewish state in 1948 -- just 11 minutes after declaring its independence.

But an increasing number of radical, unhinged leftists consider Israel a "racist" or "terrorist" state. A handful of Democrat lawmakers are expected to boycott today's speech. That's why, as Israel's president prepares to speak before Congress, it's important for the American people to make their voices heard.
