The Wall Street Journal is accusing Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) of again trying "to blow up the Senate to blow up valid state election laws." In an op-ed published yesterday, the newspaper's editorial board responded to the New York Democrat's letter to colleagues on Monday. (See Grassfire's reporting on that two-page memo here.) Here's an excerpt from "Schumer's Filibuster Stunt":

Mr. Schumer wants to instill a sense of panic. "Much like the violent insurrectionists who stormed the US Capitol nearly one year ago" he writes, GOP states have enacted "anti-democratic legislation" that must be overridden by 50 Senate Democrats.

Yet most of the federal election legislation Democrats have proposed has nothing to do with Donald Trump's attacks on the 2020 election result. The H.R.4 bill pushed last year, for example, would increase the power of the federal government to mandate racial gerrymandering. Another voting bill would require that mail ballots be accepted after Election Day.

Mr. Schumer's cynical equivalence between Republicans who favor existing application of the Voting Rights Act and the Jan. 6 rioters is like comparing criminal-justice progressives to those who attacked police and property at Black Lives Matter protests last year. His aim is not to protect democracy but to blow up Senate rules for partisan gain.

The Wall Street Journal notes that Schumer's plan to nuke the Senate filibuster "would need support from Sens. Joe Manchin (WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (AZ), who have resisted so far." Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) spoke out against the New York Democrat's "Big Lie" yesterday, saying:

"It appears as if the majority leader is hellbent to try to break the Senate. His argument is that somehow state legislatures across the country are busily at work trying to make it more difficult for people to vote. Of course that's not happening anywhere in America."

Grassfire is empowering you to fight a tsunami of lies targeting future U.S. elections. With the "mainstream media" continuing to walk in lockstep with the Democrat "cabal" of Joe Biden, Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), it's up to "America First" patriots, like you, to take action.

Schumer and other radical Democrats are using the January 6th Capitol breach as a pretext to pass their misnamed "Freedom to Vote Act." (McConnell's office once called it the "Freedom to Cheat Act.") The anniversary of last year's protest by Trump supporters is their justification to change Senate rules, "nuke" the 60-vote filibuster, and pass Joe Biden's radical, far-Left agenda.

With Republicans likely to gain control of the House and Senate in the 2022 midterms, the Unhinged Left is entering panic mode. Schumer is pushing the "Freedom to Cheat Act" THIS WEEK in a blatantly partisan effort to STEAL FUTURE ELECTIONS.

Grassfire is in the process of mobilizing a petition delivery to Senate leaders on Capitol Hill THIS WEEK. With Sens. Manchin and Sinema still supporting the 60-vote threshold needed to pass most bills in the Upper Chamber, we plan to include both "moderate" Democrats in our "Protect Our Elections!" petition delivery.

But if you want to be included -- and make your voice heard in the fight to stop radical Democrats from stealing future elections -- we MUST hear from you TODAY! Grassfire representatives will close the file and begin the delivery process TOMORROW. Click here to add your name to the PROTECT OUR ELECTIONS national petition. Thanks, in advance, for taking action today.

For life, liberty and limited government,

The Grassfire Team

P.S. If you missed last night's ELECTION STEAL update about Schumer's letter threatening Republicans AND long-standing Senate rules, we've included it below.
