UPDATE: Yesterday morning, Grassfire warned our team members about another Biden "Build Back Better" boondoggle on the horizon. By yesterday afternoon, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) delivered a similar warning from the floor of the Upper Chamber, saying:
"Democrats' reckless, inflationary spending has already slapped what amounts to a gigantic tax hike on working American families. One recent poll found more than 90% of Americans say they are concerned about inflation. ... But apparently, when Washington Democrats survey this dismal scene, they see a mandate for yet another massive trillion-dollar tax hike. ... The policies that are being floated are ruinous. The worst possible mix to thrust onto a country that's already teetering on the brink of recession."
We weren't able to watch McConnell's speech live. (You can see the six-minute video here.) But the Minority Leader's office sent Grassfire staff an email transcript late yesterday with the subject line: "The Dems Plan to FastTrack... Recession?" We didn't wait to open and read that official "Senate Update" because we knew it would 100% confirm what we shared in our previous SPENDING SCAM message:

Out of the smoldering ashes of Joe Biden's failed "Build Back Better" boondoggle comes another tax-and-spend scheme from radical Democrats on Capitol Hill. But this one has a new twist: The Biden regime is using "climate change" as an excuse for spending trillions of tax dollars and throwing the U.S. economy even further into a recession.
The economic damage that will result from this latest version of the Democrats' multi-trillion-dollar SPENDING SCAM will be disastrous. With help from Senate RINOs, they used COVID as an excuse for three previous trillion-dollar government bailouts. All those wasteful monstrosities did was give the American people runaway inflation, skyrocketing gas prices and a shrinking economy, which kickstarted a recession.
The goal of Joe Biden's "Build Back Broke" agenda is "fundamentally transforming the United States of America" into a "woke," socialist, police state. The runaway government spending embedded in these SPENDING SCAMS appeal ONLY to the most radical, unhinged leftists. Why? Because they further balloon the federal deficit, which leads to a host of other economic problems that hit low- and middle-income Americans the hardest.
According to a report in The Washington Post last week, "Democratic leaders are racing to finalize a revised proposal to tackle climate change and jump-start the nation's transition to clean energy, part of a larger sprint to strike a deal with Sen. Joe Manchin III (D-W.Va.) on their stalled spending bill this month."
WaPo also says Manchin is key to passing this new SPENDING SCAM after he "scuttled negotiations over the party's last attempt at a broader spending package in December. A climate agreement would help the country meet President Biden's ambitious clean-energy goals, even as Manchin pursues policies that would still promote fossil fuels."
The price tag for just the "green" portion of the updated "Build Back Better" boondoggle could be up to $350 billion. The House approved a $555-billion "climate change" bill in 2021 that hasn't passed the Senate, yet. So, look for Democrats to play the "We're saving $205 billion by only spending $350 billion" card in the coming weeks.
