The House is voting NOW on Joe Biden's SOCIALIST SPENDING SCAM! House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) had delayed it with a record-breaking, eight-hour speech overnight. As we told you late yesterday, Democrats had hoped to vote on the Biden regime's "Build Back Better" boondoggle at around 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. ET yesterday. But McCarthy, who spoke until just after 5:00 a.m. amid occasional jeers from Democrat Representatives, was able to delay a vote until today. FOX Business reports this morning: 

In his scathing floor speech, McCarthy described the legislation as the "single most reckless and irresponsible spending bill in our nation's history." ...

McCarthy said Democratic lawmakers were "out of touch" with the needs and wishes of ordinary Americans. Republicans universally oppose the legislation, which they denounce as a fiscally irresponsible initiative that will exacerbate the inflation crisis, damage the long-term economy, and introduce to large a degree of socialism.

"Never in American history has so much been spent at one time," McCarthy said. "Never in American history will so many taxes be raised and so much borrowing be needed to pay for all this reckless spending."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) pushed for a final vote yesterday after the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) finished "scoring" the "Build Back Better Act." Joe Biden has claimed his SOCIALIST SPENDING SCAM would cost "zero dollars," but the CBO says it will add at least $367 billion to the federal deficit over the next 10 years. 

The New York Post reported yesterday that the "Build Back Better" boondoggle is likely to be twice as bad as the CBO estimates: "Getting rid of the (budget) gimmicks, however, shows the bill would increase new spending by a third and lead to deficit increases of over $700 billion."

Grassfire also has learned that the actual cost of the SOCIALIST SPENDING SCAM isn't the $1.75 trillion that Democrats claim. The Wall Street Journal reports that H.R.5376 will likely burden American taxpayers with $4.9 trillion. In this morning's newspaper, the editorial board says about the Democrats "budget deception":

In sum, the House bill will cost $2 trillion to $3 trillion more than CBO is estimating because Democrats have camouflaged the costs. ... Keep in mind that CBO this summer projected that annual deficits will already exceed $1 trillion on average through 2030, causing U.S. debt to swell by $12.8 trillion—and that’s before the infrastructure bill or this House bill. When the spending all kicks in, and the rich are all taxed out, the middle class will be hit with a huge tax increase. This is the most dishonest spending bill in American history.

Late yesterday, Grassfire received an email from the office of House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) with even more bad news about the "Build Back Better" boondoggle: "Democrats want to grant amnesty to millions of people living in the country illegally. CBO estimates that their bill will provide nearly a half trillion dollars in benefits to illegal immigrants over the next 20 years."
