Rush Limbaugh Tribute

In honor of Rush's life and legacy, share how the "Great One" impacted your life and our nation....

Rush Limbaugh was one of the nation's leading conservative voices for more than three decades. He championed America's founding ideals of liberty and limited government like few talk-radio hosts ever. On Wednesday, February 17, at the start of "The Rush Limbaugh Show," his wife Kathryn announced that he died from lung cancer at the age of 70.

We're saddened by his passing and what it will mean to the future of the conservative movement in America. But we are grateful for the decades that he served as such a strong voice for this great nation. Please join us in praying for his family and friends during their time of loss.

(Grassfire President Steve Elliott's Tribute.)

Please use this "Rush Tribute" to share how Rush impacted you personally and how grateful you are for the way he has impacted our nation.

Can’t believe I won’t hear that bumper music and Rush’s voice during my lunch hour. A giant hole in my day and our country. Conservatism must carry on.

Rush, The Innovator of Conservative Talk Radio! My Step dad got me listening to Rush in 1995. As a Realtor who spends a lot of time in my car- Rush was on my radio everyday!!! Always positive and upbeat!

May God allow him to Rest in Eternity!

Rush was my guiding light from the beginning, my truth detector, my Guru. I started listening when he was still in Cal. and only on in NYC for 1 hour a day. I have tried to never miss a show, when I did my day was not as much fun. I love you like a brother Rush, I know you are with God and in his care, thank you for your service to our country and its Citizens.

It is hard to say more than expressed in Steve’s tribute but I feel a great great sadness in hearing of his passing which I feared after his days off last week. I said to my husband who also loved listening to him that our car trips will be so laborious without Rush to make the time fly. Unlike so many politicians he spoke from his heart with sincerity and love of our country. As George Schultz said, I trusted him which made believing in his ideas work so well for me. He believed in the America I grew up in and wish for my grandchildren. I am sad about his passing and hope that America will not also leave us.

I began listening to Rush 30 years ago. He molded my conservative outlook on life. He will be greatly missed and irreplaceable. GOD be with Catherine, David and all his family and friends during this time of mourning.

Steve, I started to do lunch with Rush around the same time you did! He woke me up to politics and the media cabal that was running and shaping our country. He woke up the sleeping giant in our country, he educated us, he entertained us, he fanned the flame of patriotism in hearts and inspired us to the end. God blessed us with this political prophet whose legacy we all need to preserve by standing up for what is “Noble, Right, Pure, Lovely” Phil4:8. Rest In Peace good and faithful servant Mr Limbaugh.

This week end the citizens of America were hit with devastating news that Rush Limbaugh had passed away. This was celebrated by those who are unaware of their ignorance and robust in their open declaration of their damaged lives.

This morning we have a major storm, but the chores still have to be done. I was cleaning the stalls listening to the radio and the song ‘I Can Only Imagine” written by a young musician sung by the group ‘Mercy Me’. The words of the song came out of a life damaging pain from his relationship with, as he himself described, a monster of a father. God brought healing to the relationship and healing to the heart of the father before he died.

I thought of Rush and my heart and mind were flooded with joy. RUSH NO LONGER HAS TO IMAGINE, HE IS IN THE PRESENCE OF THE ESSENCE OF LOVE, TRUTH AND THE WISDOM RUSH SHARED WITH US. He no longer has to imagine.

Now I think of people who posts their vitriol. They and others in this country have chosen to hold onto death instead of life, and no amount of imagination will ever put them into the presence of God. They have to choose life not death. John 3:16.

He was a bright light, now just dimmed hopefully and not doused . Am up there in years, a septuagenarian, don’t know how I will fill the void of 3 hours of hope and sanity each day this brilliant, sincere man brought. Trusting it is God’s plan that as he ushered through Rush a voice to protect and defend our liberty and republic, so will his passing create a renewed voice who will be a vanguard to the threats of justice and freedom. RIP inspiring, unique, and please, not irreplaceable Rush. Send us your replacement Mr. Talent on loan from God.

I also was driving IN 1988 when I heard" DOT, DIDALOT, DIDALOT, DIDALOT", and I wondered who was this idiot on my radio. I listened to him and was captivated by his presentation. I have been a true listener ever since, and will miss his voice and reason. Please God, take Rush into your arms. He was a GREAT man.

I first listened to Rush in 1991 after a coworker asked me the question of why I was a Democrat given my conservative views. That day changed my life . RUSH MADE THE DIFFERENCE!

All I know right now is I have been listening to Rush for 20 years, everyday of the week for 3 hours a day, he has been my friend and my comrade as we shared the same thought patterns as conservatives and people. When I would hear the garbage that the “news” media would put out over the weekend, I couldn’t wait to tune in on Monday to hear Rush put it in perspective, to put it in a way that I and MILLIONS of other Americans could understand. I remember thinking…I can’t wait to hear what Rush has to say about this or about that.

I feel such a great sense of loss and overwhelming sadness over losing my friend. I can’t imagine the loss that his family is feeling. I am praying for their healing and their guidance in moving forward, this will be something that will not be easy for them or any of us, as Rush just had that type of impact on all of our lives. So it is with great and deep sadness that I say, good-bye to the glue that held conservatives together, YOU WILL BE MISSED EVERYDAY!!

I felt like I lost A member of my family on 17 February 21, a BROTHER! I have listened to him religiously since 88/89, even used a tape recorder to replay! Have and read his books! I will miss him enormously and pray for him as he has entered into the Kingdom of God🙏! My America Flag is now at Half Staff and will remain there until his funeral is complete! Love you Rush❤️🇺🇸🙏

For 30 years I have eaten lunch in my car so that I could catch the first half hour of the Rush Limbaugh show. He has educated me on the principles of conservativism so that I can defend my beliefs. His patriotism and authenticity inspired me. Now I feel that I have lost a long-time friend. I am so thankful for the years he impacted my life and will miss him immensely. I’m sure he heard the words, “Well done my good and faithful servant” upon entering the pearly gates.

In this crazy world we live in with all the liberals and fake news I would always turn to listen to you at noon. When my head was about to explode I would turn to you and your calm logic would refresh me and my spirit. Rush you were my anchor. You kept me grounded. I will miss you my friend – as will millions of others.
