House conservatives railed against former Speaker Kevin McCarthy over the weekend after he reportedly cut a "side deal" with Democrats and Senate RINOs on Ukraine funding. That and other disagreements led Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) -- McCarthy's fiercest critic -- to file a "motion to vacate," which was voted on yesterday. Eight GOP Reps and every Dem member of the House ousted McCarthy, 216-210.
But the backroom, "dirty dealing" didn't stop with Ukraine. Just like during the debt-ceiling fight in May of this year, the House GOP "leader" passed a spending bill with more Democrat votes than Republican! What's worse is that, after the continuing resolution (CR) passed Saturday with near-unanimous Democrat support and maintained the status quo on Capitol Hill, McCarthy claimed he was putting "America first"!
But enough Republicans thought he put Big Government first, and the search is on for a new Speaker in the GOP-controlled House.
That means the fight to rein in Big Government's runaway spending continues. The current CR funds the federal government until November 15. Until then Joe's Regime and the D.C. Uni-Party will continue demanding BILLIONS more taxpayer dollars for Ukraine, while very likely doing little or nothing to stop the INVASION of illegal aliens at America's southern border.
Even former President Bill Clinton, a Democrat, said this about New York City's sanctuary law, "It’s broken. We need to fix it." He also told WABC Radio earlier this week, "It doesn't make any sense." As the fight to defund the "America Last" agenda of Joe's Regime and the D.C. Joe's Regime and the D.C. Uni-Party are still celebrating. They passed a continuing resolution (CR) late Saturday to keep the federal government "open" for another month and a half. Many people are calling it a victory for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and the GOP. But it's more "business as usual" on Capitol Hill that keeps engorging Big Government.
Sure, McCarthy was able to pass a "clean" CR with ZERO new money to fund Joe's proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, but it totally ignored Joe's border crisis. There was ZERO cash for that, too. Also Rep. Matt Gaetz says BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars could soon begin flowing to Ukraine again. Shortly after the CR vote, Gaetz posted this on X:
"Wow.@SpeakerMcCarthy made a side Ukraine deal with Democrats and didn't tell House Republicans until after his Continuing Resolution passed. More deceit."
What evidence did Gaetz have, almost immediately after the CR vote, to accuse McCarthy of caving in a backroom dirty deal? House Democrat Leadership released this statement Saturday night: "When the House returns, we expect Speaker McCarthy to advance a bill to the House Floor for an up-or-down vote that supports Ukraine."
+ + Joe And The D.C. Uni-Party STILL Want To Give Ukraine BILLIONS!
Even former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) says this weekend's CR vote "was a victory for Democrats, a defeat for the MAGAs." As America's southern border continues being overrun with illegal aliens, the D.C. Uni-Party STILL wants BILLIONS more taxpayer dollars for Joe's proxy war against Russia in Ukraine.
When will patriots finally say "ENOUGH!" to the "America Last" policies of the Regime and D.C. Uni-Party? When will the American people demand Congress protect our border from an invasion with the same resources and enthusiasm they're protecting Ukraine's?
