In front of a boisterous crowd in Orlando on Tuesday night, President Trump officially launched his 2020 re-election campaign. His no-holds-barred message targeted the differences between the mission of his administration – versus the far-left agenda of his Democrat opponents who are "more radical, more dangerous, and more unhinged than at any point in the modern history of our country." Democrats, he said, "want to destroy you and our country as we know it."

"They went after my family, my business, my employees, almost everyone that I’ve ever known or worked with, but they’re really going after you."

+ + Trump Derangement Syndrome

Contrary to the repeated distortions made about Trump's inability to cross the aisle, he said he would happily work with Democrats on the issues facing our nation such as infrastructure, health care and drug prices. But, the underlying condition of Trump Derangement Syndrome has created a political chasm that no Democrat dares to cross for fear of party retribution.

"There’s so many great things we could do right now in a bipartisan way. But they’ve been afflicted with an ideological sickness that protects foreign borders but refuses to protect our borders; that promotes jobs overseas but allows our factories to close; that promotes democracy abroad, but shreds our Constitution at home; that declares support for free speech and free thought, but relentlessly suppresses them both; and that constantly savages the heroes of American law enforcement. We don’t want that, we don’t want that."

The President cited abortion, immigration and border security as among the most divisive issues between Democrats, Republicans and his administration.

"On no issue are Democrats more extreme and more depraved than when it comes to border security... The Democrat agenda of open borders is morally reprehensible. It’s the greatest betrayal of the American middle class – and frankly American life our country has as a whole."
