Just a few hours after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced Tuesday that the House is formally proceeding with an impeachment inquiry, Grassfire heard directly from the top two Republicans in Congress.
First, the office of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) send us an email that read, in part:
"Washington Democrats have been searching for ways to reverse their 2016 election defeat since before President Trump was even inaugurated. The result has been a two-and-a-half year impeachment parade in search of a rationale. ... Speaker Pelosi's much-publicized efforts to restrain her far-Left conference have finally crumbled. House Democrats cannot help themselves."
Three hours later, Grassfire staff received a message from the office of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) that said:
"Washington Democrats are wasting taxpayer time and money. They have been trying to reverse the results of the 2016 election since President Trump took office. For them, this is all about politics. Not about facts."
McCarthy and McConnell are absolutely right. The Democrats are continuing the temper tantrum that began on November 8, 2016, when Donald J. Trump was elected as the 45th president of the United States. Pelosi and her ilk are going "all in" on impeachment over a phone call the President had with the president-elect of Ukraine back in July.
This is nothing more than another Witch Hunt against Donald Trump! But the Democrats will use anything in their power to tar and feather this President! The real story here is one you won't hear the leftist media reporting about or the Washington Democrats admitting to.
Democrat presidential front-runner and former Vice President Joe Biden ADMITTED to a quid-pro-quo regarding withholding $1 billion in U.S. aid in exchange for firing a Ukrainian prosecutor who was pursuing a corruption scandal that involved his son! Just read what Biden said in a 2018 interview with the Council on Foreign Relations. He bragged about telling Ukrainian officials back in 2016:
"We’re [i.e. the U.S. government] not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, 'You have no authority. You’re not the president.' ... I said, 'Call him.' (Laughter.) I said, 'I’m telling you; you’re not getting the billion dollars.' ... I looked at them and said: 'I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.' Well, son of a b*tch. (Laughter.) He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time."

The more that Democrats dig into alleged impeachable offenses regarding President Trump's interactions with Ukraine, the more it will be revealed that Joe Biden is the real crony crook who has been funneling millions of dollars to his family and strong-arming foreign governments with quid-pro-quo threats!
