The email focused on an iconic scene in one of the greatest Christmas films of all time... "It's a Wonderful Life." After Twitter's and Facebook's latest social-media censoring came to light, Grassfire employees were reminded of how often we feel like George Bailey battling the evil Mr. Potter.

Friday morning:

One of the best scenes in the classic film "It's a Wonderful Life" is when George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) takes on Mr. Potter. The greedy miser, played very convincingly by Lionel Barrymore, runs most of fictional Bedford Falls, New York -- including the local bank.

After the death of Peter Bailey, George's father, Potter suggests dissolving the Bailey Building & Loan. Why? Because the longtime, family-run business is his direct competitor. Like any good son should, George defends his dad and his humble, honorable legacy.

"You're talking about something you can't get your fingers on, and it's galling you," he insists. "This town needs this measly one-horse institution if only to have someplace where people can come without crawling to Potter."

If you've ever watched the perennial Christmas favorite, that confrontation is hard to forget. (See it here.) Grassfire staff members were reminded of the scene last week, after Twitter AND Facebook revealed their blatant, censoring double standard -- again.

Like Bailey Building & Loan, Grassfire is a family-owned business with only a few employees. The social-media censoring of a bombshell New York Post article -- and the silencing of conservatives who shared it -- helped Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden. (Note: The New York Post, America's fourth-largest newspaper, is STILL locked out of Twitter for refusing to take down the article. They haven't been able to tweet since October 14. That's FIVE days ago!) 

It's not the first time these Big Tech, social-media giants have done this. Many critics of Twitter and Facebook were quick to point out that this kind of "shadow banning" and outright censorship has become common place on the social-media platforms. They also insisted that it seems to happen ONLY to conservatives.

The Wall Street Journal called it an "unprecedented speech blackout," adding: "The political actions taken Wednesday by Twitter — and to a lesser extent Facebook — went far beyond normal content moderation."
