Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines "boondoggle" as "a wasteful or impractical project or activity." After learning the specifics of the Democrats' $1.9 trillion "COVID-relief" spending bill, Grassfire immediately called out this radical-leftist, taxpayer-funded, progressive "wish list" for what it is: a boondoggle!

"The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021" calls for billions and billions of tax dollars to be spent on liberal giveaways that do little or nothing to fight coronavirus. Republicans are calling the bill, "Pelosi's Progressive Payoff." House GOP leaders issued a statement via email this week, saying:

This nearly $2 trillion dollar behemoth legislation represents the most partisan attempt at COVID relief to date, and Democrats have used this opportunity to pack it with numerous items completely unrelated to the pandemic. ... Less than 9% of the plan goes to actually combating COVID-19 through public health spending.

Clearly, the Speaker's and her fellow Democrats' priority is not helping struggling families nor small businesses. They're not fully committed to re-opening schools nor caring for seniors with this legislation, as much as they want to fund radical, progressive pet projects.
