According to POLITICO, the Upper Chamber is voting NOW to move forward on the $1.7 trillion dirty, backroom deal between Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

As Grassfire has been telling you for more than a week now, this stopgap spending bill CONTINUES the spending priorities of Joe, Chuck and Nancy until March -- at least! With this legislation, Johnson is breaking a promise he made in December NOT to fund the government through a continuing resolution (CR). He called "operating by CRs... a dereliction of duty."

What changed, "MAGA Mike"? Too much heat in the D.C. "kitchen"?

If the Senate rams the SPENDING SCAM through the Upper Chamber tonight, as expected, the House could get it TOMORROW. With so many RINO Senators now diehard members of the D.C. Uni-Party, the battle to save America must be fought by Republican Reps in the Lower Chamber.

Steve Bannon took Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to the woodshed on Sunday. The conservative commentator and former Trump administration official blasted "MAGA Mike" on social media over the House leader's dirty, backroom deal with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

In an X post last week, Johnson tried to put lipstick on a pig by celebrating $16 billion in spending cuts as part of his $1.7-TRILLION continuing resolution (CR). But Bannon wasn't having it and pointed out that America STILL has a $2-TRILLION annual deficit thanks to the tax-and-spend D.C. Uni-Party.

Bannon also attacked Johnson for allowing the House to take "3 Weeks Off @ Christmas," to be "Gone for the MLK Weekend" and for breaking his word that, as Speaker, there would be "No More CRs." Bannon added that the CR "is Not Serious" and Johnson is "Not [a] "Serious Person."

To avoid a partial government shutdown on Friday (Jan. 19), this latest TRILLION-dollar CR extends the destructive, Big Government spending priorities of Joe, Nancy and Chuck. But the GOP-led House is supposed to control the "power of the purse"! Why isn't EVERY Republican Rep fighting to save America?

Schumer has called this latest SPENDING SCAM "a good deal for Democrats." RINOs love it, too. That means this CR a BAD DEAL for America.
