The House of Representatives is convening AT THIS HOUR and will vote TODAY on yet ANOTHER continuing resolution (CR) to fund the bloated U.S. government. Unfortunately, it's business as usual in Washington, D.C. -- with no end to runaway federal spending in sight.
This latest SPENDING SCAM of passing short-term spending bill after short-term spending bill to keep the federal government "open" is absolutely NOT what America's Founders intended. The continuous CRISIS GOVERNING by the D.C. Uni-Party must NOT be allowed to continue.
Right now, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) doesn't have the GOP support he needs to maintain the current status quo on Capitol Hill. POLITICO reports the new House leader is "facing serious pushback" from conservatives, who don't want to pass his two-part CR to avert a government shutdown Friday.
"I will not support a status quo that fails to acknowledge fiscal irresponsibility, and changes absolutely nothing while emboldening a do-nothing Senate and a fiscally illiterate President," Freedom Caucus Chair Scott Perry (R-Pa.) said Monday.

ANOTHER manufactured crisis is taking shape on Capitol Hill this week. ANOTHER threat of a government shutdown has lawmakers breathlessly calling for ANOTHER stop-gap spending bill.
It's the same "business as usual" antics of the D.C. Uni-Party. They act outside of constitutional guidelines by failing REPEATEDLY to pass a budget, so lawmakers can spend and spend and spend to grow government bigger and bigger and bigger.
If you're an America First patriot who thought things would change with the new House Speaker, don't hold your breath. Punchbowl News reports:
"After weeks of conversations about changing the way Washington works, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) will seek to pass a complex 'clean' stopgap funding bill Tuesday that maintains the status quo."
Well, that's just great. Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) gets booted by the MAGA House Republicans, and the GOP's new "king" of the House is taking "basically the same approach," according to Punchbowl.
What's different is that Johnson is proposing a two-part continuing resolution (CR) that funds part of the government until January 19 and the rest of it until February 2. He promised yesterday he "will not allow end-of-year megabus spending packages to continue under my leadership."
Uh huh. Sure. America First patriots will believe that when they see it.
