Shortly after President Trump's indictment by a Manhattan grand jury became public, George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley appeared on the FOX News program "Special Report." Speaking with host Brett Baier, Turley tore apart New York City District Attorney Alvin Bragg's "raw political prosecution" of America's 45th Commander-in-Chief, saying:

"It's a federal crime the Department of Justice chose not to prosecute. Bragg's own predecessor declined to prosecute. But he is attempting to bootstrap that federal crime into a state case, and if that is the basis for the indictment, I think it's rather outrageous. ... It's legally pathetic."
