I wish I could share this Father's Day presentation with every man in America.

A little background on why I made this, and why dad is so vital...

A few years ago, I created this Prezi to share a message in my church on the importance of fathers in society. While we have lots of debates about the cultural struggles facing our society, at the end of the day, the vast majority of the "decay" we see is the result of broken homes. More specifically, it's the absence of fathers from the home.

The cold hard facts facing kids who are conceived out of wedlock and grow up with out a dad are shocking.

-- 50% of all babies are conceived out of wedlock

--of those, 40% never see the light of day due to abortion

--half of those who survive abortion will spend their lives in poverty

Most of the criminal activity in our nation is caused by men who grow up without a dad in the home.

I'm not saying mom isn't important! To the contrary. Mom is absolutely vital. But we don't have to tell moms that. They instinctively know it and the vast majority are never separated from their kids.

But why is dad so vital? Why is it so devastating for dad to not be in the home?

I think there's a very fundamental reason for this, and it stems from the very nature of God... as our Father. I won't disclose any more. Click above and see!
