"We've delivered commonsense legislation that will secure our border, but it's been sitting on [Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer's desk for seven months. H.R. 2 was our bill, and [it's] time to act on it." --House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA)

Back in May, the House passed H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act of 2023. The above quote was from two days ago, when Speaker Johnson and more than 60 other House Republicans visited Eagle Pass, Texas -- the epicenter of Joe's border catastrophe.

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) insists: "H.R. 2 secures America's borders, improves the asylum system, reduces the incentives for illegal immigration, criminalizes visa overstays, and addresses Biden's Border Crisis."

Yet, the Democrat-controlled Senate won't even consider passing H.R. 2 because they want America's border security tied to BILLIONS MORE taxpayer-funded aid for Ukraine.
