To tell you the truth, I'm sick and tired of the shutdown.

We're now at 21 days and counting, and both sides are digging in with no end in sight.

+ + Here's why I'm outraged...

But here's what has me really outraged...

While federal workers, air traffic controllers and members of the military face furloughs and working without pay, guess who STILL GETS 100% OF THEIR SALARY?

If you guessed the members of Congress who created the shutdown, then you guessed correctly!

It just so happens that Congress exempts itself from the government shutdown it created!

So while federal workers go without pay, every member of Congress is still being paid as if nothing happened. Members of Congress are still stuffing their pockets with their taxpayer provided paychecks!

This may be the absolute height of elitist arrogance and hypocrisy! 

+ + Tell Congress: No Pay for YOU during shutdowns!

Sen. Rick Scott is calling out the hypocrisy. He has proposed a bill called the "NO BUDGET, NO PAY Act" that would prohibit members of Congress from receiving pay (or back pay) any time they shut down the federal government.

Grassfire just launched a petition saying NO PAY FOR CONGRESS DURING SHUTDOWNS.

I want to rush 10,000 petitions to Sen. Scott and key Senators demanding that they stop this "we still get paid" hypocrisy!
