Sign the Petiton: "No Pay For Congress During Shutdowns!"

While federal workers and the military face furloughs or working without pay, Congress has managed to continue to pay their own salaries -- and continue to stuff their pockets with taxpayer provided paychecks -- while they shut down the government!

This is outrageous. Sen. Rick Scott has proposed a bill ("No Budget, No Pay Act") that says Congress DOES NOT GET PAID if Congress has not approved a budget or has shut down the government.

Grassfire has launched a national NO PAY FOR CONGRESS DURING SHUTDOWNS petition. 

Petition States: I'm joining with concerned citizens across the country to call on Congress to stop the hypocrisy of paying their own salaries during shutdowns while other government workers are not paid. Members of Congress should NOT receive pay (or back pay) for the time when then shut down the government.
