House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has pledged to continue working on a bill to ban the video-sharing app TikTok. In a Sunday Twitter post, McCarthy reacted to congressional testimony from the social-media platform's CEO, Shou Zi Chew, on Thursday:

It's very concerning that the CEO of TikTok can't be honest and admit what we already know to be true — China has access to TikTok user data. The House will be moving forward with legislation to protect Americans from the technological tentacles of the Chinese Communist Party.

What do you think? Should Congress ban TikTok? Please let us know where you standby casting your vote in Grassfire's new FlashPoll. See last night's message below to vote YES or NO on banning TikTok. Thanks, in advance, for taking action today.

FlashPoll: Should Congress Ban TikTok? Vote "YES" Or "NO" Now!

President Trump called for a U.S. ban on TikTok more than two years ago. Now, Congress is finally catching up to the possible dangers of the popular video-sharing app, which is owned by a company based in Beijing.

A growing number of U.S. lawmakers say TikTok's ability to collect data from the user's device -- both on and off the app -- poses nation-security and privacy risks. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) told The Hill last month:

"The big problem with TikTok is that it is a backdoor for the Chinese Communist Party into the personal data and the personal lives of every American who uses it, that includes especially our kids."

Grassfire wants to know what you think, {{recipient.first_name_or_friend}}. Should Congress ban TikTok? Please vote "YES" or "NO" by clicking a button below.

Please note that our FlashPolls are not scientific, nor are they meant to endorse a specific candidate or position. They're for informational purposes only. Thanks, in advance, for taking action today.
