UPDATE: Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. ET

The House of Representatives will convene at noon ET today and, once again, try to elect a Speaker. Three votes yesterday failed to determine who would lead the Lower Chamber during the 118th Congress. It could be another long day on Capitol Hill as the political drama continues regarding who, after the vice president, will be second in line to the presidency.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), House Minority Leader for the 117th Congress, was expected by many to become House Speaker on Day 1 of the new legislative session, but a group of 20 "America First" Republicans are rejecting business as usual in our nation's capital. So they're refusing to support McCarthy. See our previous update below to learn why.

Grassfire is giving our team members an opportunity to make their voices heard in this debate. We want to know if you support Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House. Please tell us what you think by voting "Yes!" or "No!" in our QuickPoll below. If you've already participated, please forward this email to your family and friends. Thanks, in advance, for taking action today.

P.S. Some Democrats and FAKE NEWS outlets are reveling at what they claim is Republican Party dysfunction. But during a two-month period in 1855 and 1856, it took 133 votes to elect Representative Nathaniel Banks of Massachusetts over Representative William Aiken of South Carolina, 103 to 100, to serve as Speaker of the House for America's 34th Congress.

Tuesday evening:

POLL: Do You Support Kevin McCarthy For House Speaker?

Republicans are locked in a battle over who will become the next Speaker of the House. The GOP controls the 118th Congress, which convened for the first time this afternoon. But as of this writing, the House of Representatives still doesn't have a Speaker. Three roll-call votes today failed to determine who'll be second in line (behind the vice president) for the presidency.

While EVERY Democrat has voted consistently for Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), the new House Minority Leader, more than 200 GOP representatives have voted for Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R–CA), the House Minority Leader in the 117th Congress. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who supports McCarthy, has received only enough support to spoil McCarthy's bid to become Speaker.

Grassfire wants to know what you think. Do you support Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House? Please make your voice heard by voting "Yes!" or "No!" in our QuickPoll now:

More than a dozen "America First" Republican House members insist McCarthy is cut from the same cloth as former GOP RINO House Speakers John Boehner and Paul Ryan. More than 200 other Republicans in the House want to get to work behind McCarthy to stop the Biden Regime's failures and tyranny.

Please let us know what you think by casting your "Yes!" or "No!" vote now. Thanks, in advance, for taking action today as a Grassfire team member.

For life, liberty and limited government,

The Grassfire Team

P.S. QuickPolls are not scientific, nor do they endorse a specific candidate or position. Grassfire surveys are for informational purposes only, but we're confident they accurately reflect the views of "America First" patriots nationwide.
