House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her fellow Democrats are running a "fool's errand" with their impeachment inquiry. Even if they get the votes they need in the House, there's virtually no chance that a Republican-controlled Senate will impeach President Trump.

This is all about "optics" to the Left. Dem leadership wants to appease the most outrageous and hysterical voices in their party in hopes of somehow hurting our Commander-in-Chief politically. It's a ridiculous exercise in futility.

A majority of the American people don't even support impeaching Mr. Trump. A July Gallup poll showed that 53% of people don't think the President should be impeached. Also, a Gallup poll released yesterday revealed that Donald Trump's job-approval rating is three points HIGHER than Barack Obama's at the same point in his presidency.

In an email yesterday, Grassfire told you how House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) forced a vote on Wednesday that made Democrats show exactly where they stood on impeaching President Trump. It was a brilliant procedural move that called for Representatives to support or reject "tabling" a "privileged resolution" that stated:

"That the House of Representatives disapproves of the actions of the Speaker of the House, Mrs. Pelosi of California, to initiate an impeachment inquiry against the duly elected President of the United States, Donald J. Trump."

A total of 231 Democrats voted for the "motion to table" McCathy's resolution. That means, in effect, they voted to support the impeachment inquiry against the duly elected President of the Unite States. According to Breitbart News:

"No Democrat in the House of Representatives now claim it is not their intention to attempt to remove the duly elected president of the United States from office by force rather than by an election. ... What’s more, in perhaps good news for Trump, he lost zero Republicans. The GOP is unified behind its president."

Breitbart also quoted a senior GOP aide who said, "The Democrats can't hide anymore. ... Every last one of them now has the blood of this failed coup all over their hands. And America can see it."

This impeachment farce is nothing more than another Witch Hunt against Donald Trump! But the Democrats will use anything in their power to tar and feather this President!

The real scandal here is one you won't hear the leftist media reporting about or the Washington Democrats admitting to. Former Vice President and Democrat presidential front-runner Joe Biden ADMITTED to a quid-pro-quo regarding Ukraine. In a 2018 interview, he talked about threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid in exchange for firing a Ukrainian prosecutor who was pursuing a corruption scandal that involved his son! Read what he bragged about telling Ukrainian officials back in 2016:

"We’re [i.e. the U.S. government] not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, 'You have no authority. You’re not the president.' ... I said, 'Call him.' (Laughter.) I said, 'I’m telling you; you’re not getting the billion dollars.' ... I looked at them and said: 'I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.' Well, son of a b*tch. (Laughter.) He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time."

Instead of calling out their own, Pelosi and the Democrats have decided to launch an impeachment inquiry against Mr. Trump -- over something that he may have done, but Biden actually did! Yet, not a single Democrat has a word to say about it!
