Grassfire
It's a different time in America... a time when one political party and viewpoint is now openly attacking people of faith. The Equality Act is just one clear example.
This bill -- rushed through the House earlier this month -- would force Christian doctors and Christian hospitals and Christian parents to SUBMIT to the radical same-sex mantra. Hospitals would be required to affirm the gender identity of teenagers. Doctors could be charged with discrimination if they upheld that novel (biological) idea that boys are boys and girls are girls. Christian parents who believe what the Bible says about human sexuality could be charged with abuse for resisting State efforts to help their kids discover their chosen gender identity.
The Left says none of this will happen. But they lie. Because they've carefully written into this law that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) cannot be used as a defense. In other words, there is NO RELIGIOUS EXEMPTION in the bill. And they're writing this same RFRA exclusion into other items of legislation.
This is the agenda -- the criminalization of Christianity. The reason is simple: the Christian ideals for human sexuality and marriage run counter to the new dogma being pushed through the courts and through legislation. And all the powers of Silicon Valley are marching in lock-step in this effort to marginalize and criminalize Christian thought.
Here's a short list of Silicon Valley elites who are pushing the Equality Act: Apple, Google, Facebook, Oracle, Intel, Cisco, eBay, Dropbox, Netflix, Adobe, HP, Pinterest, Salesforce, and Twitter to name a few. Add in Amazon (based in Seattle) and virtually all the power brokers who control the Internet have teamed together to push this radical bill.
These are the same businesses that are openly censoring and shadow banning conservative thought across the Internet -- and outright banning pro-faith and pro-family organizations from access to some of their programs!
If you think I'm exaggerating, go ask the parents in Ohio who lost custody of their daughter last year because they refused to support her "transition" to becoming a male through medical interventions. The parents also faced abuse and neglect charges.
+ + A mighty band of patriots...
Against such forces, here we stand, a band of patriotic citizens joined together by our common desire to see liberty and limited government re-established in our land.
I'm not saying that Grassfire is alone in the fight. But we are one of the largest and most active networks of patriotic, grassroots Americans in the nation. I just checked the numbers and in just the past 30 days, through the Grassfire team we've seen:
- 223,904 citizen engagements on issues;
- 30,642 petitions signed;
- 42,225 faxes sent;
- and 24,233 NEW MEMBERS joined the team!
We did more and grew more in one month than many organizations accomplish in a year! But right now, we are short of our budgeted goal for the second month in a row -- at a time when we want to GROW Grassfire and EXPAND to meet the challenges that are coming against our liberties.
Simply put, we need about $10,000 in support between now and the end of the month to keep us on track. It's a pittance compared to what the Far Left is spending to destroy liberty, but we can do a lot with your contribution of $20, $30, $50 or more.
