Grassfire
After yesterday's "Super Tuesday" primaries, two clear front-runners have emerged for the Democrat presidential nomination: Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden. Both men are far-Left, career politicians who have been in Washington, D.C. since 1990 and 1972, respectively.
Sanders continues to offer free childcare, health care, college education and more to prospective voters. But in a recent "60 Minutes" interview on CBS, he refused (or was unable) to say how much his giveaways would cost or how America would pay for them. Last night, Biden made what's likely the biggest campaign promise in history. Seriously. As president, he will "invest billions of dollars to find, and I promise you, cures for cancer, Alzheimer's and diabetes." Wow. Why didn't he do that during his eight years as vice president?
In an awkward moment during that same speech, Biden confused his wife and his sister. But that gaffe wasn't quite as bad as the one he committed in Texas on Sunday, when he got confused trying to quote the Declaration of Independence. If this is the best Democrats can do, Grassfire finds it doubtful that President Trump will lose to either Sanders or Biden.
