Last spring, college student Laken Riley was murdered by an illegal alien who had been released after previously committing a crime. Now Congress has taken up the Laken Riley Act to require that federal authorities detain illegal aliens accused of crimes such as burglary, theft, or shoplifting. The bill also lets states sue the federal government for not enforcing immigration law!

The Act is now on the Senate floor and needs bi-partisan support for the first major border security victory of President Trump's second administration.
