A legislative SNEAK ATTACK is under way designed to pass the Equality Act in a piecemeal manner -- with no public accountability.

With the main bill being held up in the Senate, Democrats are advancing the essence of the Equality Act which effectively criminalizes Christianity through multiple bills.

By embedding key components of the Equality Act in several pieces of must-pass legislation, the main points of the Act could soon become law. These bills could impact churches, religious organizations, and Christian schools -- and anyone who dares to stand for traditional ideals of male and female.

Here are some of the bills being used in this SNEAK ATTACK strategy:

• Do No Harm Act (HR 1450) which guts the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) in favor of protections for LGBT individuals
• Refund Equality Act (HR 3234, S 1564) which funnels millions to same-sex couples
• Customer Non-Discrimination Act (HR 2587) makes every public restroom open to same-sex or transgender individuals, while also gutting RFRA
• Stronger Abuse Prevention And Treatment Act (HR 2480) which guts parental rights and empowers adolescents to choose and pursue their gender without parental knowledge or consent.

These SNEAK ATTACK bills follow a similar pattern to the full Equality Act legislation -- they specifically target people of faith and gut the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. By doing so, they put people of faith at risk by removing any religious exemption as it relates to issues of sexual orientation or gender identity (SOGI) the workplace, the school, and public places.

The ACLU has gone so far as to equate religious freedom as nothing more than an excuse to discriminate. They say religious exemptions are being "used to license discrimination." This is outrageous.

The Customer Non-Discrimination Act is particularly pernicious in that it amends the Civil Rights Act to include "sexual orientation" and "gender identity." As the LGBT organization Human Rights Campaign explains, this bill goes even further by redefining "public spaces" to include "retail stores, services such as banks and legal services, healthcare providers, and transportation services." Basically, every public space bathroom would be open to transgendered individuals, and healthcare providers would be required to comply.
