Did Thune just cancel SAVE Act again?!
Majority Leader Thune this week once again announced that the SAVE America Act is DOA in his GOP-led Senate.
"We don't have the votes," Thune said again this week.
But it is more accurate to say that Thune and the RINOs who run the Senate don't have the political will.
A Talking Filibuster only requires 50 votes. Thune wants you to think the 60-vote Zombie Filibuster is enshrined in the Constitution or even in our laws. But it isnt. It's a RULE of the Senate. Plus, Thune doesn't even have to abandon his treasured 60-vote Zombie Filibuster. He could simply force a Talking Filibuster with 50 votes. If Thune can't get 50 votes for the most important "America First" legislative priority, then he should resign from his leadership position!
By conceding defeat, Thune is giving a handful of RINOs control over the entire U.S Senate.
