A report on the origins of Covid-19 by a U.S. government national laboratory concluded that the hypothesis claiming the virus leaked from a Chinese lab in Wuhan is plausible and deserves further investigation, according to people familiar with the classified document.

A Wall Street Journal op-ed published yesterday says "the most compelling reason to favor the lab leak hypothesis is firmly based in science." America's #2 newspaper also reports that the "genetic footprint" of COVID-19 "has never been observed in a natural coronavirus."

Dr. Steven Quay (M.D., Ph.D.) and Dr. Richard Muller (Ph.D.), who co-authored the article, also point out: "In gain-of-function research, a microbiologist can increase the lethality of a coronavirus enormously... The scientific evidence points to the conclusion that the virus was developed in a laboratory."
