After several days of laying low, Sen. Johnson came out swinging once again.tidalwavedebt.jpg Here's what he said on CNBC's Squawk Box:

"What us old people have done -- basically indebting our children, stealing from their future, their prospects -- the way we've diminished them, is immoral. It's unconscionable... We've got to do something about it."

Former New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu also spoke out yesterday against the "fiscal car crash" that is coming, calling out so-called Republicans who are pushing for more and more spending. And six former members released a joint letter calling the debt crisis an "existential threat" and adding:

"The so-called 'Big Beautiful Bill' fails to address the $2 trillion annual deficit and keeps us on track to reach an estimated $60 trillion national debt in the next ten years. This bill is a massive failure in addressing America’s greatest national security threat, our debt."

And after several days of being quiet on the issue, Elon Musk reposted this chart showing our skyrocketing debt and wrote:

"If this continues, America goes de facto bankrupt and all tax revenue will go to paying interest on the national debt with nothing left for anything else."
