As I write, millions of Americans are still voting and the official results from the 2024 presidential election are not in.
But I can argue that Trump will win and has already won.
Let me explain.
+ + Reason #1: The polls indicate it...
First, Trump is polling PLUS 7 in the national aggregated polling from four years ago (tied this year to Biden +7 four years ago). This is extremely significant because in the past two election cycles, the pollsters over-estimated Hillary's and Joe's vote total nationally by 3-4 percent.
Even if the polls are more accurate this year, that means Trump is polling PLUS 4 over the final vote tally from last year (Biden +4). This alone would indicate enough of a shift in the electoral college for Trump to win. But if the same polling bias is present this year, Trump could WIN the popular vote by 2% or more which would likely result in an electoral landslide.
+ + Reason #2: The Swing States indicate it...
Of course, the presidential election comes down to the seven swing or battleground states.
Trump MUST win the Sun Belt states (AZ, GA, NC) to have a chance while Harris must win the Blue Wall (MI, PA, WI). Nevada could be the difference in a close race, and polling indicates that blue VA, MN, and NH may be in play.
Trump is polling WAY BETTER in the swing states than in 2020. Plus, the early voting indicates significant GOP gains, where Republicans are either leading or have dramatically cut into the Dem early vote lead.
Here's my electoral college guess:
Of course, I could be wrong and Trump could lose today. It happened in 2020. It's quite possible late-night shenanigans will happen again. The Dem machine in PA, MI, and WI may prove too much, given that we have allowed voting in America to be watered down and prone to fraud and manipulation. Even a victory tonight could result in an unprecedented, nation-dividing uproar that results in a constitutional crisis.
But even if Trump loses and never returns to the White House, I argue that he has already won.
+ + Reason #3: How Trump has already won...
Think about what happened yesterday, on the final day of campaigning. Elon Musk spent two hours with Joe Rogan saying things core patriotic Americans have been saying for TWO DECADES! Rogan then endorsed Trump.
Megyn Kelly was invited to speak during one of the closing rallies last night. Yes, Megyn Kelly with whom Trump had a historic feud eight years ago. There she was saying how proud she was to vote for Trump and that she was glad Trump would protect women.
And how about RFK Jr.... This is the son of one of the Democrat legends and the greatest Democrat family in recent history. And he's Team Trump, getting ready to Make America Healthy Again.
There are many more like RFKJ, Megyn, Elon, and Joe. They are a bit late to the party, but we're so glad they are here. As Bruce Willis' character John McClain famously said...
Thanks to DJT, the Republican Party is no longer the party of McConnell and Bush and Cheney and the Big Government, war mongers. Trump's GOP is a party of the working class, that defends Americans first. And look who Trump chose as his successor? A young, intelligent, articulate leader from middle America. JD Vance (along with Vivek, Ron and others) are prepared to carry the torch.
So win or lose today, Trump has already won.
Donald J. Trump will prove to be one of the greatest political forces in American history. Trump will have re-shaped the American electorate and reformed one of the main political parties into a cross-cultural, multi-ethnic alliance that will, eventually, make America great again.
If you are a basketball fan, then you know that Steph Curry changed basketball forever. Your kids and your grandkids just want to shoot "threes." Donald Trump changed the American political landscape. He has already won, and this lasting legacy will Make America Great Again.
