Exactly two weeks ago, President Trump called on Republicans to shutdown the government if they didn't get "absolute assurances on Election Security." His TRUTH Social post was clear:
"THEY SHOULD, IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM, GO FORWARD WITH A CONTINUING RESOLUTION ON THE BUDGET. ... DON'T LET IT HAPPEN - CLOSE IT DOWN!!!"
As we told you last night, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is defying the GOP presidential nominees wishes by dropping the SAVE Act and pushing for a three-month continuing resolution (CR) that expires on December 20, 204. Johnson's weak-kneed, play-fight-and-surrender strategy is a worst-case scenario for "America First" patriots.
It would set up a "Nightmare Before Christmas" budget battle in a lame-duck Congress that could hamstring a second Trump administration if he takes office again on January 20th. Why would the GOP fund the radical, unhinged and tyrannical Biden-Harris-Pelosi-Schumer spending priorities for another day, let alone three to six months -- or more?

On Saturday, POLITICO reported: "Success won't involve a Trump endorsement for a clean CR plan — that's not gonna happen. In the best-case scenario for Johnson, Trump says nothing at all. At the very least, Hill Republicans are hoping he holds off on weighing in until after the bill passes, keeping GOP defections — which could reach 100 or so — to a minimum."

Monday evening:
House GOP "leaders" have already given up to the Uni-Party. Speaker Johnson (R-LA) has caved to the radical, unhinged Left and RINOs and has called for a Wednesday vote on a short-term spending bill that does two HORRIBLE things.
First, it locks in the Biden-Harris-Pelosi-Schumer spending agenda for at least three more months. Second, the continuing resolution (CR) expires on December 20, 2024! That sets up a worst-case scenario for "America First" patriots.
On Friday, we warned you that Johnson would cave soon, abandon the SAVE Act, and pass a short-term spending bill with more Democrat votes than Republican... AGAIN. We also correctly predicted the Uni-Party would force the American people to endure yet another "Nightmare Before Christmas" spending battle.
By passing this CR, the D.C. Swamp is teeing up another spending battle, just before the Christmas recess, that ensures a "lame-duck Congress will hamstring President Trump the opening months of his (possible) second term. It's weak, tyrannical and despicable politics!
