This afternoon, President Trump and Elon Musk's very successful working relationship and friendship came apart over the Big Bill.

It started when President Trump, in response to Musk's opposition to the bill, said that Musk "knew the inner workings of the bill better than anybody" and "had no problem with it." Trump then said Musk began to oppose the bill because it was cutting the EV mandates.

This is the same attack that conservative news organizations like Breitbart have hinted at or openly stated against Musk.

Musk flatly refuted the allegation: "False, this bill was never shown to me even once and was passed in the dead of night so fast that almost no one in Congress could even read it!"

Musk then began a rapid-fire of posts on X that were critical of the bill, including a post from a few years ago in which Musk supported getting rid of the EV credits.

Trump then posted on Truth a very personal attack against Musk:

"Elon was 'wearing thin,' I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!"

Musk then fired back with a series of personal attacks along with more data on the dangers of endless deficits.
