When President Trump called for Sunday, March 15 to be a National Day of Prayer, "America's Artist" Jon McNaughton listened.
"This is not a partisan issue. This is something that affects every American. We're all gonna suffer from this," McNaughton says. "I'll be praying for my family and for my friends -- those I love. I’ll pray for the country, and I’ll pray for our president."
That nationwide call to prayer by our Commander-in-Chief inspired McNaughton, well known for his patriotic paintings, to create something a little bit different. On Monday, he released a stunning, new sketch that honors the President and commemorates our country's faith in God.
"Trump Sketch 1," as McNaughton calls it, is available to our team members now in a 9" x 9" print. The hand-drawn image bears an incredible likeness of the President praying. The sketch also includes words of encouragement from Mr. Trump meant to inspire every American at this time of national crisis.
"We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these."
