Monday Update from North Carolina--
We're providing meals to many of the hardest-hit communities, including Swannanoa, where mudslides have displaced homes, roads have been washed away, and life has been altered forever.
We're meeting folks who were trapped in their homes with no way to contact anyone for help. Another family's business was destroyed by the raging floodwaters.
In the midst of this overwhelming heartbreak, Mercy Chefs is delivering hope in the form of hot, chef-prepared meals to communities that are still in urgent need.
We've already provided tens of thousands of meals to storm victims and volunteers in western North Carolina, and we'll serve thousands more today.
+ + We're serving meals today...
Thanks to you, Mercy Chefs is reaching communities that have been desperate for support. Recently, when we announced our meal distribution schedule, Amy reached out and said...
"Finally hot meals in a place I can get to."
This is why Mercy Chefs exists -- to deliver hot meals that carry hope to those devastated by disaster and hardship.
Quite often, we serve folks the first hot meals they've seen in days.
Can you help us today as we reach thousands across western North Carolina? Go here to sponsor hot meals for Helene victims, volunteers, and emergency workers while we continue other vital outreaches:
We haven't seen a disaster of this magnitude since Katrina hit New Orleans.
Thanks to you, Mercy Chefs is here and we're serving storm victims at their point of need.
God bless you richly,
Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
P.S. We continue to watch Hurricane Milton, which has already intensified into a massive Cateogry 3 hurricane and is expected to hit Florida Wednesday evening. In addition to the winds, up to a foot of rain is expected, making flooding a major concern even in advance of the storm making landfall. As you can see, we need your help more than ever this week! Thanks for partnering with us. Go here to sponsor meals:
