Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) is on a mission to stop President Trump, and that mission gets launched in full this Thursday.

That's when Kaine's Venezuela "War Powers" resolution will come before the full Senate for a vote. Kaine's resolution is designed to publicly rebuke President Trump for his actions this past weekend to apprehend Drug Thug Maduro.

In case you are wondering about President Trump's actions to bring Maduro to justice, former Attorney General Bill Barr, who brought the original indictment against Maduro six years ago, said in response to the breaking news:

"This was a criminal organization that used the instrumentalities... of the state to make Venezuela a hub of drug trafficking. They were engaged in their own trafficking directly up into the United States... and they also conspired with five different terrorist and drug trafficking organizations."

Barr added that the case against Maduro is stronger than the case brought by the Bush administration against Noriega that resulted in Noreiga's conviction in 1992.

But let's be clear... this is just the first of many votes that Kaine and the Democrats are spearheading to stop President Trump's efforts to protect American interests and American citizens in the Western Hemisphere.

According to Punchbowl News, Kaine "plans to force similar votes aimed at preventing Trump from engaging" in other regional foreign policy initiatives. Kaine then mentioned "Greenland.... Cuba.... Mexico.... Columbia. You're gonna see a lot of votes on these things."
