Shocking Truth on Pot Potency

As we've been reporting, the Pot Lobby has put a full-court press on President Trump to convince the President to significantly DOWNGRADE THE DANGERS OF MARIJUANA.

This downgrade would make pot even more acceptable and prevalent in our society, at a time when marijuana use continues to grow and communities are overrun with public pot smoking.

+ + Pot has been engineered for super-potency...

The Marijuana Lobby is trying to position pot as a harmless drug with many medical benefits. Both statements are not true, especially because the potency of today's pot is, on average, 400-700% higher than pot from a few decades ago. Naturally occurring marijuana has THC levels of 2-4 percent while the current strains are much higher. According to researcher Angel Gomez:

"Today’s strains [of marijuana] routinely exceed 15 percent and even 30 percent [of THC], with concentrates reaching 90 percent or higher.

The modern, high-potency pot has serious health risks. Again, from Gomez:

"Research shows that 30 percent of daily users develop Cannabis Use Disorder. Studies in Lancet Psychiatry (2019) and JAMA Pediatrics (2022) associate high-THC cannabis with increased psychosis, schizophrenia risk, and cognitive impairment in adolescents. This includes IQ decline and memory deficits."

Plus, secondhand marijuana smoke is far more dangerous than tobacco smoke and is known to cause many health complications. Children are particularly vulnerable. About half of kids who live around marijuana users "showed detectable levels of marijuana in their urine."
