Grassfire received an email this morning from "Make America Great Again, Inc." The subject line proclaimed: "President Trump Is The Leading Republican Candidate" for 2024, and they shared the facts to back it up.

In three well-respected polls, Mr. Trump currently enjoys a comfortable lead over more than a dozen other potential GOP candidates. His nearest competitor is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, but it's not even close:

  • Harvard-Harris: Trump 46% vs. DeSantis 28%
  • Emerson College: Trump 55.1% vs. DeSantis 24.8%
  • Politico/Morning Consult: Trump 45% vs. DeSantis 30%

Vice President Mike Pence is a distant third in all three polls, topping out at 7.5%. No one else registered even half that.

+ + Grassfire Nation Stands With DeSantis... At Least For Now

Last week, in response to Donald Trump announcing another presidential run, Grassfire launched a four-question "Post-Midterm 2024 Survey." We wanted to find out if our team members are still boldly pro-Trump? Or does Grassfire Nation prefer Florida Governor Ron DeSantis now?

As of today, "45" is TRAILING the Sunshine State's chief executive by a surprisingly wide margin: 57% to 43%. But with only about 2,200 total survey participants, Grassfire is hoping for a larger sample before declaring a winner in our "Post-Midterm 2024 Survey." For now, Gov. DeSantis has a commanding lead over President Trump.
