Majority Leader Thune has scheduled two important votes designed to break the Schumer Shutdown.

First, the Senate will vote again THIS AFTERNOON on the Clean Continuing Resolution that extends current funding levels through late November. The House has already passed this bill and Democrats previously approved all the funding since this CR simply extends the previous budget.

Second, Thune is preparing for a vote tomorrow on the Defense appropriations bill to fund the Department of Defense and insure members of the military get paid.

This will be a very important vote. If Democrats block funding for the military, it will be further proof that the Schumer Shutdown is nothing more than a SHAKEDOWN to demand hundreds of billions in more spending on pet liberal projects.
