With the shutdown now the longest in U.S. history, Sen. John Kennedy is bringing two bills to the Senate that would stop Congress from getting paid during the shutdown.

As we have noted, the fact that Congress is still getting paid is the SCANDAL of the Shutdown of 2025. Sen. Kennedy noted that Congress is getting paid while:

• No Congressional staff are being paid;
• No Federal workers are being paid and have had to borrow hundreds of millions of dollars to make ends meet;
• Military is receiving partial pay;
• Air Traffic controllers aren't being paid.
