I just heard from Mercy Chefs -- Grassfire's disaster relief partner -- that they served over 5,000 meals YESTERDAY and thousands more meals are going out to FLOOD victims today and tomorrow.

Please see Gary's message below. I'm hoping the Grassfire team will help sponsor 500 meals for flood victims today. Go here to sponsor 10, 20 or even 50 meals for Kentucky flood victims, and see below for more details.

Wednesday PM from Eastern Kentucky

Steve,

Many of the families we are meeting here in Eastern Kentucky are carrying very heavy burdens -- compounded by disaster which has hit this region so hard.

For some, the burden seems impossible to bear. Like this great grandmother who finds herself caring for 13 childrenalong with her brother who has brain cancer. Together, they have survived the massive floods and the winter freeze, but not without great difficulty.

When our Mercy Chefs team arrived at her home, this woman's countenance changed in an instant. It was as if hope came alive in her soul.

Our team is always amazed by the impact of chef-quality, hot meals delivered in the midst of a trial. At first, it doesn't feel like much in comparison to the difficulty — until those we are helping are holding the meal in their hands and we see a glimmer in their eyes, a face full of gratitude, and a heart that is experiencing mercy in that moment.

What you are I are doing together is so much more than a meal. It's hope being delivered, in person, by a friend who cares.

Will you help me deliver real, tangible hope TODAY to thousands of hurting families here in Eastern Kentucky today? Go here to sponsor 10, 20, 50 or even 100 meals:

Tomorrow, we'll serve 5,000 or more meals again. The need has been about DOUBLE what we expected. I want to stay and continue delivering hope as long as possible. But to do so, I need your prayers and support.

Thank you in advance, and God bless you!

Gary
