I'm faxing today to demand you take action to "Stop The Spending Insanity!" in Washington, D.C. I'm sure you've heard the word "insanity" defined as "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." As interest rates climb, energy costs rise, inflation balloons and recession worsens, the U.S. government has increased the national debt by $8 TRILLION since the start of 2020. That's a 33% jump in just THREE YEARS!
Now, with his ridiculous $6.9 TRILLION 2024 budget proposal, Joe Biden wants to make the U.S. economy and America's future even worse. The House of Representatives control's America's purse, and Republicans control the House. That means the GOP will be largely responsible for what happens next. House Republicans MUST NOT CAVE to the Biden Regime, RINOs and the radical, unhinged Left by letting the "spending insanity" continue.
Mr. Biden's unreasonable, unsustainable (and laughable) tax-and-spend plan would balloon America's current $31.5 TRILLION national debt by 60% -- to $51 TRILLION -- over the next 10 years! The New York Post reports: The federal debt as a share of US gross domestic product (GDP) would swell to a record 110% by 2033, up from 98% this year – shattering a dubious record that has stood since the end of World War II.
The $6.9 TRILLION that the Biden Regime wants to spend in 2024 is more than any year during the pandemic. That runaway spending led to skyrocketing inflation, rising fuel costs and pushed the U.S. economy to recession! Despite the clear excesses of Big Government, Democrats and RINOs insist on sticking to their same failed playbook: "Let's tax and spend America into prosperity!"
I'm sure you've heard the word "insanity" defined as "doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." I want to see an end to "business as usual" in our nation's capital. Please know that I am closely monitoring the House GOP's response to my call to action. Thank you for your time and attention in this fight to stop the "spending insanity" in Washington, D.C.
A Concerned, Taxpaying American
