Dear Representative,

I am outraged that Democrat leaders in the House of Representatives have scheduled a vote today aimed at purging a Georgia Republican from her committee assignments. Freshman Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been a strong voice in support of President Trump since arriving on Capitol Hill in January.

While Greene hasn't won many friends across the aisle, mostly for her claims of election fraud and for filing articles of impeachment against Joe Biden on her first day in office, that in-your-face style is no reason to "cancel" her. In 2019, just hours after being sworn in, then-freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) called President Trump a "motherf----r." But she received no punishment from House Democrats. In fact, when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was asked about reprimanding Tlaib, she replied, "I'm not in the censorship business."

I'm faxing today to demand that you take immediate action to stop Greene's removal from the Committee on the Budget and the Committee on Education and Labor. I'm calling on you to vote "NO!" on Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz's (D-FL) ethics complaint (H.Res. 72).

Don't purge Rep. Greene today! Dissenting voices are crucial to sustaining a healthy, constitutional republic. Banning them is a hallmark of a banana republic. Please note that I'm monitoring your response this critical issue. Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,

A Taxpaying American Citizen
