Dear Republican Member of Congress,

I'm faxing today to call on Republican lawmakers to demand the immediate termination or resignation of Dr. Anthony Fauci. Over the past two years, "Mr. Television" has been wrong about the global coronavirus outbreak on several fronts. Americans have watched Dr. Fauci flip-flop, backtrack and contradict himself on mask effectiveness, herd immunity, shutdowns and the theory that COVID-19 could be man made.

But his failures are not limited to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some 40 years ago, Dr. Fauci was wrong about another key health issue, the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Some critics argue that his actions may have cost tens of thousands of lives. For example, he was wrong, initially, about how AIDS is transmitted. According to the American Institute for Economic Research, Fauci's "speculative commentary" in 1983 "triggered a national media frenzy over unfounded fears of AIDS transmission through routine contact."

In the late 1980s, Dr. Fauci reportedly refused to acknowledge the success doctors were having treating HIV/AIDS patients with the drug Bactrim. He's done the same thing with hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin and other medicines, which many physicians insist is an effective treatment for the coronavirus. Some of Fauci's harshest detractors claim that THOUSANDS have died as a result of his failure to promote those drugs. Also, he's led the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) for 38+ years, and the world STILL doesn't have an HIV/AIDS vaccine.

Recently, congressional Republicans have been pressing Fauci's failures related the U.S. pandemic response and his role in the U.S. funding research at a lab in Wuhan, China -- using taxpayer money! That facility may be responsible for unleashing COVID-19 on the world. I want Dr. Fauci to be investigated and removed as the head of the NIAID. He's either lying, ignorant and/or incompetent to lead the fight against this virus.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has been been suckling at the government teat for 40 years. He's held on for so long that he's the highest-paid federal employee in America, making more than the president. Due to his less than stellar record, especially with regard to HIV/AIDS and COVID-19, Fauci should be fired or forced to resign immediately. Please note that I am monitoring the responses of Republican lawmakers to this important call to action. Thank you for your time and attention.
