Democrat Senators rejected Sen. Ron Johnson's bill that would pay our military and other critical federal workers.
Majority Leader Thune is exasperated with his Democrat colleagues:
“I can’t explain the level of dysfunction on [the Democrat] side right now.... But they’re consistently shifting their messaging which, to me, suggests they really don’t know … how to get out of this right now.”
+ + This is a key pressure point...
Grassfire believes pay for our military remains a key
pressure point in the shutdown. Democrats have dug in on preserving the failed Covid-ObamaCare subsidies. But they will come under enormous pressure as our military misses the next paycheck.
The average age of active duty service personnel is 28 and a majority are married. That means there are hundreds of thousands of young military families who will suddenly face a financial crisis -- while they are working without pay!
We expect a new bill to pay our military and critical federal workers to come for a vote early next week (Monday or Tuesday).
We're looking for 200 friends to send faxes this weekend -- NOW DISCOUNTED 50%!
Go here to fax the vulnerable Dems and demand they pay our military:
+ + The sticking point?
Sadly, the Democrats main sticking point once again is... President Trump.
Democrats want to tie the President's hands for the remainder of the shutdown and greatly limit what he can do to mitigate the impacts from the shutdown.
Democrats are more concerned about their Trump derangement than paying our military!
Again, we are looking for 200 friends to take action this weekend.
