Dear Member of Congress,

I am writing to encourage you to support HR7109 which stipulates that every U.S. Census form must include a question about whether the person and those in their household are U.S. citizens.

For many years, this was the policy of our government and for good reason. It is vitally important for our government to know how many citizens and non-citizens are living in our country. Since the citizenship question is not currently asked on most U.S. census forms, our government has no accurate measure of the current number of citizens or non-citizens who are residing in our country.

I urge you -- support HR 7109 and any similar bill that requires the census to include questions that allow us to count citizens and non-citizens.

Sincerely,
