President Trump has shown amazing leadership since declaring the COVID-19 outbreak a national emergency. In fact, a poll released yesterday by Monmouth University indicates that Americans think our Commander-in-Chief has done a better job handling the crisis than Congress AND the media. Half of those surveyed (50%) said the President has done a "good job," while 45% think he's done a "bad job."
Another poll that, like Monmouth University, usually skews left, was even better news for Mr. Trump. According to an ABC News/Ipsos poll conducted last week, 55% of those surveyed "approve" of how the President is handling the crisis. That's a 12% increase over the previous week in the same poll.
Grassfire also "approves" of how our Commander-in-Chief has provided strong leadership through this trying time in our nation's history. We agree that he's done a "good job" over the past several weeks. But one of the things that impresses us the most is how the President has encouraged Americans to turn to their faith during the COVID-19 outbreak.
On Friday, March 13, Mr. Trump called for a National Day of Prayer, tweeting:
"We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these."
