Now, the Senate is trying to fast-track the so-called "Fiscal Responsibility Act" (H.R. 3746) under "unanimous consent" rules. The Journal reports, "'I think if we can get this agreement and a couple other things resolved, we can start voting today,' said Sen. John Thune (R., S.D.), the No. 2 Senate Republican."
