ALERT: Thune-Schumer dirty deal now in play...
Over the weekend, Grassfire exposed that Thune and the RINOs are working a backroom, dirty deal with Schumer and the Democrats
to get their beloved "CR" passed in exchange for punting on the SAVE Act until December.
Yesterday, the Senate passed the first procedural vote on the CR, but without full agreement of the Democrats, there is not enough time before the five-week vacation to pass the CR on the Senate floor.

Democrats are withholding support for final passage of the CR pending Thune's agreement that he will NOT pass the Reconciliation 3.0 with the SAVE Act attached. That's why Thune keeps saying it is IMPOSSIBLE for the Senate to pass any legislation related to the SAVE Act!
Sen. John Kennedy openly discussed this Thune-Schumer dirty deal on Meet The Press over the weekend. Today, Punchbowl called this dealmaking Thune's "roadmap to recess."
"Roadmap to recess?" In what world should a five-week vacation be the end goal of Thune's legislative agenda?!
This is a RINO-UniParty setup! Thune wants the CR passed and seems willing to punt on the SAVE Act to get his dirty deal with the Democrats -- all the while using the leverage of their beloved FIVE-WEEK vacation to pressure Republicans to cave.
The good news is, nearly 20 GOP Senators have publicly stated that the Senate should NOT LEAVE FOR VACATION until the SAVE Act is passed.

Also, the CR is just another "punt" -- a "continuing resolution" to keep spending at current levels because Congress can't pass a budget. So Thune's big "victory" that he is hoping for this week is to get a deal done with Schumer that allows Congress to continue irresponsible and unsustainable and unaccountable levels of government spending while avoiding any confrontation over the SAVE Act and getting the Senate started ASAP on a five-week vacation
